A new video posted online, first reported on From the Trenches World Report, shows citizens of the historic Shaw neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri, reacting to an off-duty St Louis police officer killing another teenager, Vonderrick Myers. In the video protesters can be heard chanting phrases such as “hands up, don’t shoot,” “send them killer cops to jail,” “who do you serve,” and “Who’s street? Our streets!”
According to the CATO institute, a Washington think tank, American citizens are eighth times more likely to be killed by a police officer than by an act of terrorism. Many protesters point out the actions of modern day police are acts of terrorism itself. Eventually they force the police to leave, but not before many officers can been seen grasping their sidearm.
