Many of you over the last few years have likely heard the term “false flag” and wondered what it is. To the so-called Mainstream Media (MSM), this term presents an opportunity to label anyone who even questions the official dialog a conspiracy theorist, a kook, an alarmist—in other words, someone you don’t want to be associated with. Like a vegetarian at a BBQ, it makes conversation very difficult because many people have nearly ZERO basis for most of their core beliefs about how the world is run, in part, because of the education they received growing up and the subsequent NEWS they hear each day. Well, if you dare, please read along to take a small journey with me into some of the “false flag conspiracies” which were later proven to be true. As a general rule for regular readers of this column, this is why I always assume every person in power is lying until proven otherwise.
Definition of “false flag”
Before we begin, let’s first define what we mean by the term “false flag.” False flag operations are covert operations which are designed to deceive the public in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by entities other than the actual perpetrators. The name is derived from the military concept of flying false colors; that is, flying the flag of a country other than one’s own. False flag operations are not limited to war and counter-insurgency operations, but have also been used in peacetime. To a significant degree, the success of these operations is contingent upon the direct or indirect support of the prevailing media apparatus.
Many of the biggest conspiracies in US history that turned out to be true were indeed false flags, as some perceptive individuals had been alleging all along. “Well, why,” you may ask, “would any government do such a thing?” The answer is to coax the public into going along with something they normally would reject if presented with the truth. In fact, the best person to answer this question is probably the famous Nazi, Hermann Göring. Göring stated
“Naturally, the common people don’t want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. . . . Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
Don’t just take my word for it
Now, I don’t want you to take my word for it; I want you to check out everything I list here and see for yourself how, throughout history, the average Joe has been duped.
The following are some of my favorite conflicts to cite when anyone wishes to rush headlong into war. The Spanish American War was prompted by the sinking of the Maine, purportedly by a Spanish mine, but with the fatal explosion later revealed to be a coal explosion. Threat to the average American: ZERO.
The United States’ entrance into World War I was brought about by the sinking of the Lusitania by the Germans, which vessel was later divulged to be secretly carrying munitions, which made it a legitimate target. Threat to the average American this time: very low.
Involvement in Vietnam brought us the Gulf of Tonkin incident, later revealed to have never happened. Threat to the average American: ZERO.
Fast forward to the invasion of Iraq in 2003—WMD’s were never found while Afghanistan was ignored. Threat to the average American: very low, except for higher gas prices.
There are a few other examples which could be marshaled, but these are 100% TRUE. The problem is that you have to be careful and qualify your statements many times when dealing with the government, because it could be just blatant incompetence that they are trying to hide, and not some insidious ulterior motives. At other times, the government just lets things happen and uses the random event to further a political cause, which is what I believe happened on 9/11 and in the attack on Pearl Harbor which drew the US into World War II. To quote former Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, “You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that [is] it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”
If our own government would draw us into war, then there really isn’t anything they won’t do to further some agenda, right?
A new buzzword
The buzzword since the end of the Cold War is “terrorism.” Why? Because the paradigm works: there is no clear enemy, the conflict can go on forever, and most importantly, it allows the government to adopt 1984-style control of the population in ways that Orwell himself could have never imagined. Times may change, but human nature does not. The historical script is there for all to read with different actors playing the same parts in the same play. Hollywood does this propagandizing all the time because it’s effective—governments do so because it works and the general public is blind to the whole thing. It’s a magic formula, so to speak, to gain further control over a population, and one that always comes wrapped in a patriotic flag. Here is what some figures from the past have said for you to consider:
“If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.”
—U.S. President James Madison
“Terrorism is the best political weapon, for nothing drives people harder than a fear of sudden death.”
War is a racket
If our own government would draw us into war, then there really isn’t anything they won’t do to further some agenda, right? These agendas are usually promoted by those who have the most to gain or the most to lose, and rarely represent or benefit the common man. Big Labor, large corporations, special interest groups—you get the idea. It is never something to benefit an INDIVIDUAL, but always some group. Remember that small business owners received next to nothing after the financial crash in 2008, but the “Too Big to Fail” banks (which should have been broken up and sold off in bankruptcy), well, they were given $BILLIONS. Other examples of this “not letting a crisis go to waste” principle include the 460-page USA PATRIOT Act that was just sitting on a shelf somewhere ready to be implemented after 9/11. No one read it, and there was no time to review it; just another rush job like the recent spate of gun laws across the country, which will do next to nothing to decrease gun deaths, but instead, further erode Liberty.
I could go into our own government’s performing medical experiments on US citizens, into Watergate and MK-Ultra, could talk about Operation Northwoods, which called for blowing up bombs in the US to blame on Cuba, about Operation Gladio, about the CIA paying off the media to write false stories, not to mention sanctioned gun and drug running by our CIA—but that is for you to look into on your own. It is the big thing. The fact that our own government has led us into false wars makes it the largest threat to your life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness around. Charles Manson was scary. Jeffrey Dahmer was scary. But a politician deciding how to dictate what happens to your kids, your property, your income, and most importantly, your life, is what you should really be afraid of. Remember, it is not a conspiracy if it is true.
